What is the SimplyEduTech Tutor Portal?
The SimplyEduTech Online Tuition Booking / Tutor Marketplace is an online hosted, web-based, public-facing, tuition booking / tutor marketplace system which enables learners to book tuition sessions with available tutors as per available tuition slots designated on the tutor's calendar within the tuition booking system. The system is capable of supporting unlimited tutors, unlimited learners and unlimited transactions (booking and payments).
The system includes tutor, learner and administrator dashboards. The administrator would enroll tutors who provide tuition services, or tutors may directly "apply" on the system to be approved and enabled by the administrator, and specify revenue share negotiated with the tutor on the system.
The system is e-commerce capable and integrated with Stripe or optionally PayFast payment gateway, which requires a Customer merchant account with the selected payment gateway. This enables learners to pay online through an integrated payment gateway upon booking tuition sessions online. Tutors payments are processed by the administrator.
The system is operated as a "tutor marketplace" managed by the Customer for provision of tuition services under the Customer's business brand. The system has the capability to set commission per tutor and track revenue generated by each enrolled tutor, thus enabling an administrator to view and extract reports for provision of information to the finance department for reconciliation and pay-out to the tutors
How it Works?
The system is enabled with video-conferencing through integration with Zoom (www.zoom.us), and requires a Customer institution Zoom account to enable programmatically scheduling Zoom video-conferencing to conduct synchronous "live" virtual tuition sessions. Tutors may then use a free Zoom account to conduct unlimited 1-on-1 long duration video-conferencing sessions. However, sessions involving 3 or more participants are limited to 40 minutes duration by Zoom and requires the tutor to directly sign-up for a premium Zoom account for access to longer duration sessions
